Super Junior leader Lee Teuk and Sistar leader Hyorin show off their “baby” at the Novotel Seoul Ambassador Gangnam Hotel on the 24th to promote the fourth installment of KBS Joy’s hit variety program “Hello Baby.”

“Hello Baby” is a show where idols are tasked to take care of children and learn the real process of parenting. This will be the fourth season of the show which had already shown Girl’s Generation, SHINee, and T-ara as parents of cute little kids.

“Hello Baby Season 4″ will star Lee Teuk and the girls of idol group Sistar, and is set to have its first broadcast on September 2.

[News] 2PM'S Wooyoung Parodies the movie "FRIEND"

2PM became the King of parody in 2PM Show.

2PM will re-live their school days on SBS E!TV’s 2PM Show. They parodied the movieFriend during the show.

2PM members wore school uniforms and pretended they were real students. Woo Young, who is from Pusan, re-enacted a scene of the movie Friend. He spoke in a perfect Pusan accent and performed major lines from Friend perfectly.

Woo Young said, “What is you father doing?” Taec Yeon answered, “You go to Hawaii.” And Woo Young said, “Am I your henchman?”

In the show, 2PM members selected a class president instead of selecting an MC. They had an ‘eraser fighting’ to choose the class president.”

Then, they danced to the title track from the movie Friend.

They also had a variety of contests to remind viewers of their old school days.

Boyfriend felt awkward with their group name at first

Rookie group Boyfriend has been capturing the hearts of schoolgirls everywhere with their boyish charms and good looks. Especially capturing the hearts are ‘Kim Hyunjoong twins’ Youngmin andKwangmin, ‘Yoo Seungho’s doppelganger’ Jungmin, and ‘K-Will’s smiley boy backdancer’ Minwoo, the group has been stirring commotions on online forums since their debut.

In response to such attention the members said with a smile, “It’s a pleasant nickname, ‘pet-idols.’ Boyfriend can be trained without a problem. However, at the same time the name can be a little burdensome because it seems like we’re getting more attention for our visuals than for our talents.”

They also explained that they felt awkward with the name ‘Boyfriend’ before their debut.

The boys said that they had goosebumps and shivers when Starship Entertainment first revealed the group name. However, they soon realized that it was actually a pretty catchy name with a good meaning and in the end they agreed.

Their title track “Boyfriend” was produced by Brave Brothers, famous for his works with singers such as Son Dambi, After School, Big Bang, Sistar, and others. The song has a unique rhythm and an addictive chorus, all of which helps emphasize the group’s vocal talents. The track itself in conjunction with its corresponding ‘Aegyo (cute) dance’ has garnered much popularity for the group.

Although the performances seem to be a little more than simply cute, the boys revealed that they actually ended up short of breath after each stage.

Leader Donghyun explained, “With the exception of the chorus, the choreography is very difficult because it is broken up to fit different beats. Dancing and singing simultaneously was really hard for us, especially at first. Now that we’re becoming a little more accustomed to the stage it isn’t as bad. We’re beginning to enjoy our performances more and more, especially when we notice the crowd’s faces.”

Their official debut was only a month ago but the group is also receiving love-calls from overseas and even had a notable amount of international fans attend their first fan signing.

Boyfriend said, “We’re planning to give everything we have in Korea before we start anything overseas. Our goal is definitely to receive the best rookie award this year.”

The soon-to-debut idol group, Boyfriend, with an average member age of 18 recently attended their first photoshoot.

The concept for this day was, “While Sleeping.” The photo shoot took place in the rehearsal studio at their companies headquarters, where the group spends most of their time with their debut only a month away. When the photography team arrived, they shout out their greetings to the photo team, “Hello! We’re boyfriend.” The members all look quite nervous for their first photo shoot but they also share the excitement and freshness of a new group.

When the photoshoot started, however, the 6 members worked their charms to relax the main photographer instead. When it was finished, they also made sure to thank the crew: “We fell short of your standard because this was our first photoshoot, but thank you so much for being kind to us.” The boys should be tired from rehearsing and also going to school, but they didn’t look exhausted at all.

The 6 members, Dong Hyun, Young Min, Kwang Min, Minwoo, Seon Ho and Jung Min held their first photoshoot and interview with the magazine, Elle Girl, with this pleasant experience it’s safe to expect good things from them as ‘Boyfriend.’

MBLAQ’s G.O recently disclosed the difficulties he had to endure before his debut.

On the June 25th broadcast of ‘Immortal Song 2‘, idol singers competed for the top spot by singing songs that were popular on ‘Gayo Top 10‘ back in 1992. G.O was selected as the second singer to perform on stage, where he sang Yang Soo Kyung’s “Love is a Cold Temptation“.

During his backstage interview, G.O revealed the hardships he had to endure when he was a part of Ty Keys, a group he was in before his debut with MBLAQ. G.O stated, “It was a co-ed R&B group, and we failed miserably. When my company went bankrupt, my contract should have ended then. I don’t know how to say it, but somehow I was basically tied down. I went to court at such a young age. Back then, I didn’t want to let my parents know, so I looked for lawyers myself.”

G.O confessed that he even thought of going to extreme measures.

He continued, “MBLAQ’s debut was coming closer, and my lawsuit was yet to be resolved. I thought it was the end, it may sound extreme, but I thought of dying a lot.”

G.O expressed great enthusiasm for his participation in ‘Immortal Song 2′. He commented, “If I do well, I think this program will become my savior.”

On this day, G.O received an overwhelming round of applause for his emotional performance.

Idol music show “Immortal Song 2″ airs episode #4!

KBS’s “Immortal Song 2” has broadcast its 4th episode on June 25th with its all-idol cast!

As revealed earlier, F.T. Island’s Lee Hongki, 2PM’s Junsu and MBLAQ’s G.O made their first appearance on the show, joining SISTAR’s Hyorin, 2AM’s Changmin and SECRET’s Song Ji Eun.

“Immortal Song 2″ will have each contestant sing unique covers, just like on “I Am a Singer“, however there will be no eliminations to challenge them. The six castmates will instead battle for pride, as the first place winner will be judged by a 200-member audience. Not only that, but they’ll also receive priceless pointers and tips from the original artists of the songs they cover.

The mission for the cast of KBS’s “Immortal Song 2″ today was to have a 1992 hit songs battle!

Songs that were ranked in the top 10 of 1992 were chosen for the cast members randomly which included Yang Soo Kyung’s “Love Is A Cold Seduction”, Lee Hyun Woo’s “Dream”, Hyun Jin Young’s “You In My Faded Memories”, Park Jung Woon’s “A Night Like This”, Yoo Seung Bum’s “Jealousy”, and Kim Hyun Shik’s “Love By My Side”.

A-Peace reveals first mini-album tracklist

Golden Goose Entertainment raised eyebrows in May when it announced the upcoming debut of A-Peace, one of k-pop’s newest (and largest) groups. The twenty-one member boy band hit the industry with its catchy debut track “Lover Boy“, and was scheduled to promote as three sub-units and debut in Japan before making its way into the Korean scene.

It was revealed today that A-Peace will be releasing its very first mini-album soon, which will be titled ‘We are the One‘ and feature six songs in total. Since some of the titles are in Korean, this mini-album will presumably be dropped as A-Peace’s debut in Korea.

F.CUZ releases teaser for Japanese debut track “Never Let You Go”!

Four-man group F.CUZ will be joining the list of K-pop idols venturing into the Japanese music scene with their debut track “Never Let You Go“! The group released a song teaser for their first single today, unveiling a section of the track as well as a glimpse at the upcoming music video.

Although member LeeU announced his departure from the group earlier this spring, the change will not take place until the end of the Japanese debut promotion later this year.

As fans will notice, this track is a Japanese remake of the group’s previous track “Mine” from their mini-album ‘Gorgeous‘. This is a highly addictive dance track that any listener can’t resist grooving to. Considering its fun instrumentals and catchy melody, it’s no wonder that “Mine”/”Never Let You Go” has been chosen for the group’s debut.

The full single is slated to drop on August 17, 2011.

Lee Hong Ki confesses about his older ex-girlfriend

On MBC’s “Three Wheels” F.T. Island’s Lee Hong Ki reveals that he has dated a girl eight years his senior in the past.

When asked what the benefits of dating someone older was, Hong Ki replied, “They make you feel at ease. When we met I didn’t feel any sort of pressure, she would buy me meals, come to pick me up from my house and then drop me off again later. One time I lost my MP3 and she bought me a new one the next day.”

Although there are pros to dating someone older, Hong Ki also talked about the cons of such relationships. “When I was twenty and dating someone who was eight years older than me, it seemed like I immediately turned into an adult,” Hong Ki admitted. “The more we dated, the more I felt like I needed to hang out with people my age.”

F.T. Island’s Choi Jong Hoon also revealed that he dated a woman six years his senior and confessed that, “Dating someone older was difficult. The switch to hang out with people the same age as me flipped on in my mind.”

Yesterday I spent all day at Acik's house along with Addi and Angah. Around 6 we watched Oh My School at KBS channel (391). There was U-KISS & SHINee & INFINITE and others. That time I supported the purple team where there was U-Kiss members : Soohyun and Hoon (:P) . And also Infinite members Dongwoon.

Well they played games and one of the games was like a korean fighting game like sumo or something. Anyway the purple team manage to go to the semi-final and they were fighting against the blue team - I think. It was Hoon's turn to fight with the other team. FYI: I HATE HOON SO MUCH! then I decide to support the purple team and hoping Hoon could beat them BUT he used a technique that wasn't aloud which meansthe other team won ! At first before they start I decide to maybe like Hoon a little if they win but because of that, it make me hate him MORE ! hmmmm. .

Kim Hyun Joong performs “Break Down” on Music Bank

After being known as the leader of SS501, and then as an actor, since debuting some six years ago, Kim Hyun Joong is ready to embark on a new path as a solo singer.

Having released his solo mini-album “Break Down” earlier this week, Hyun Joong becomes the fourth SS501 member to do so with Kim Kyu Jong the only one not to have released a solo album.

His title track, “Break Down“, was composed by Steven Lee and is classified as a ’south urban dance track’ which combines powerful electric brass and synth sounds to create an energetic track right from its beginning phases, and has a dynamic choreography to ensure a strong performance.

He also performed “Please“, which is a pop R&B track, featuring a beautiful piano melody and a heavy orchestra arrangement that brings out the sadness of the lyrics.

INFINITE’s Dongwoo gets pulled off stage by an audience member

Even though there’ve been several reports of stars being injured by overzealous fans, it seems that security is still lax at festivals, as it was recently reported that INFINITE’s Dongwoo was pulled off stage.

On June 4th, INFINITE was performing “Nothing’s Over” at a public music festival when an audience member latched onto Dongwoo’s leg, dragging him off the stage.

Fortunately, security managed to intervene and safely brought him back up. The members seemed unable to shake off their shock, however, as their facial expressions remained hard.

On June 4th, JYJ’s Yoochun celebrated his 25th birthday with a surprise party thrown by his fellow JYJ members.

Representatives revealed, “Yoochun turned 25 on the 4th, but he was performing at JYJ’s San Jose concert for their world tour that day. Junsu and Jaejoong held a surprise birthday party for Yoochun during the middle of the concert, which continued afterwards at their wrap-up party.”

Junsu also tweeted, “I genuinely congratulate your birthday, Yoochun”, while Jaejoong wrote, “I love you.”

Do you remember Girl’s Story, the young girl group that stunned the industry when they first debuted with their average age of 9.75? The poor girls debuted with an anti-fanclub amounting to over 30,000 members and have been going through some difficult times coping with it all.

The boys reportedly bought her ice cream and personally visited her while on the set of the ‘kids variety’ talk show, “Just Like This“. Code-V on their struggles, fame in Japan, Korean comeback, and surpassing TVXQ

Male vocal group Code-V recently sat down for an in-depth interview with Joy News 24. Although they’re still an unfamiliar name to most, they have a confidence in their vocal skills that puts any other rookie artist to shame. Reporters immediately noted that confidence, as the boys expressed that they were ready and willing to sing on request.

They were in the midst of introducing their title track, when they abruptly stopped to ask, “Do you want to hear us sing it live?” After a short on-the-spot a cappella performance, the boys went on to reveal that they also possessed dozens of different voice imitations to show off on variety shows as well.

This talented team is comprised of leader Sang Woo, ‘visual’ Sol, ‘chocolate abs’ Naro, maknaeTaemin, and their newest addition, Louis.

Code-V initially promoted under the name ‘Bless‘ back in 2007 before making their debut with the track, “Addiction“, back in June of last year. Unfortunately, they didn’t meet the success that they had hoped for, and had to abruptly conclude promotions without attaining much in achievements.

“There was always a natural disaster following us,” they explained. ”We had to postpone our broadcast promotions because of the Cheonanham skirmish, and when we were preparing for our Japanese promotions, there was an earthquake in Fukushima. We’re sort of immune to everything now (laughter). In order to break that jinx, we persistently promoted in Japan.”

They continued, “While preparing for this album, we think our failures created a strong foundation for each of the tracks in it.”

Although they’re not quite well known in Korea, they’re already growing as Hallyu stars in Japan. They recently ranked first in a survey that asked Japanese fans to choose a Korean artist’s debut that they were looking forward to the most.

Japanese fans have been highly anticipative of the group for their vocal talent, especially for their resemblance to TVXQ in that they’re both a capella groups. As such, they were nicknamed the ’second TVXQ.’

Code-V commented, “We think the Japanese music fans see us in the same light as TVXQ since we promoted with a dance track, but our members are all vocally talented. A capella is also our specialty so we resemble them in that way. We personally like TVXQ and respect them, but as opposed to emulating them, we hope surpass them and show a color of our own.”

The members also added, “After TVXQ’s split, some of their fans came to us.” Sol revealed, “They say I look like KCM in Korea, but in Japan, they think I look like Jaejoong. When we go out to eat, some people even mistake us to be TVXQ.”

When told that those were rather dangerous statements to be making, the boys replied with aegyo, “It’s not something all five of us agree with.”

Speaking of their Japanese promotions, the boys recently completed a successful promotion cycle there despite the earthquake. In an effort to give their fans a boost of energy, the boys continued on with their promotion plans instead of canceling it. They also came up with the heartfelt idea of folding 1,000 paper cranes to deliver to Fukushima. The project is currently on display at a hotel lobby.

They explained, “We don’t make much so we couldn’t make a big donation… Even if it isn’t anything physical, we wanted to make something that would deliver our feelings. We noticed that the Japanese fans liked it when lovers would exchange paper cranes in dramas so we went with that idea. It’s kind of romantic, right? We were worried that they would think we weren’t being genuine, but they liked it, which was fortunate.”

Now that they’ve made their return in Korea with their first official album, “Honestly“, they’re promoting with a beautiful ballad track to showcase their vocal potential. “We were going to use a dance track for our title song, but a week before our album was to be released, we decided to change it last minute because we fell in love with a ballad that our composer hyung had hidden. With shows like ‘I Am a Singer‘ and ‘Birth of a Great Star‘, vocal talent is being regarded as important again, and we felt that fans would be bored of idol dances now. We went with something we wanted to show this time.”

The boys finally concluded, “We want to become a luxury idol. Although we’re all different in personality and style, we come together really well. It’s because of each of our voices coming together that we shine that much more. Hopefully those who didn’t know of us before will get to know us through this album.”

2PM to release their first photobook, “This is for my Hottest”

2PM, who is currently amidst their Japanese promotions, published their first photobook.

On May 9th, JYP Entertainment released 2PM’s first concert photobook titled “This is for my Hottest“. This photobook contains photos from 2PM’s encore concert from last September and fromMnet’s 2010 Ultimate Live concert.

In addition to these concert photos, 2PM’s beastly image can be found in their practices and rehearsals. Fans will also get to see a bit of 2PM’s honest sides through their individual Q&As. Thankfully, they have also included English translations of the text for their international fans.

TVXQ says goodbye on Music Core

Having been promoting their repackaged album “Before U Go” for the past month, the TVXQ boys have wrapped up promotions with a goodbye stage on this afternoon’s episode of MBC’s Music Core.
“Before U Go” is a traditional R&B track with heavy emotions, where Yunho and Changmin’s vocals were put at center focus. The song is unique in that it moves not only according to melody, but rhythm is well. The song switches back and forth between an 8-beat and 32-beat vocal rhythm.

Jang Geun Suk put together a fantastically agonized performance of his newest rock track, with plenty of dark makeup and smoldering glances to spare. It’s a sparse, minimalistic affair as PVs go, with the camera cutting between a “band” performance and solo takes. Perhaps that’s for the better, as it allows viewers to better appreciate Jang Geun Suk’s vocal ability than be distracted by a storyline or actors.

U-KISS’s Kim Kibum shares his feelings, claims to be kicked out of group

Former U-Kiss member Kim Kibum recently confessed his feelings about leaving the team.

“I didn’t quit, they canceled my contract,” said Kim Kibum in a phone conversation with Newsen on February 23rd. Kibum added, “the agency first told us they are going to replace two members. They demanded me to sign an agreement on canceling my contract, so I did.”

Kibum was puzzled about the news that said he had quit the group. “I feel sorry to our fans,” said Kibum.

Kibum posted a long tweet to his fans:
That tweet began with, “안녕하세요 유키스 기범, 아니 정확히는 유키스로 활동했던 김기범입니다/ Hello, I am U-Kiss Kibum, no, I was U-Kiss Kim Kibum.”

Kibum says he didn’t voluntarily quit U-Kiss to focus on his Piro Piro character business but was required to sign the contract cancellation agreement and leave the group. Kibum says his business never distracted him from his U-Kiss activites and prioritized U-Kiss over anything else.

“가족같이 아니 그 이상으로 멤버들을 생각해왔습니다 이렇게 헤어지게 된것이 정말 섭섭한 마음이지만 제가 모자란 부분이 많아 유키스에 교체가 필요할 것이라는 전 소속사의 의견또한 존중하는 바입니다 / I thought of the members like my family…no, more than that. I’m so sad to say good-bye to them like this but I do respect the agency’s decision to replace me with someone better.”

Kibum thanked his fans and promised that he’ll continue to appear on air by himself as both a talent and business man.

This was also the case for member Alexander. “I did leave U-Kiss,” said Alexander on the phone with Newsen. “But it wasn’t because of school like they stated.”

U-Kiss’s agency NH Media will be replacing Kim Kibum and Alexander with new members, believing that it will strengthen the group vocals and bring about a change to U-Kiss.

MBLAQ’s Mir rages against Jang Ja Yeon’s offenders

MBLAQ’s Mir is expressing his anger towards what’s called the “Jang Ja Yeon Case.”

On March 7th, Mir tweeted, “Those 31 dirty scoundrels must have daughters too, right? It angers me to think that they’d be having dinner with their daughters as if everything is fine.”

The message is suspected to be in response to the letter that SBS ‘8pm News’ reported on March 6th; the letter was personally written by Jang Ja Yeon and said she was forced to host and offer sex services to 31 men over 100 times. SBS News reported that the letter said, “I had no way to get out of the situation. The men who came for me are the devils. Whenever I put on new clothes, I had to meet another devils.”

Kyung Gi Police, who is currently in charge of the Jang Ja Yeon case, said they’re currently investigating the relationship between Mr. A, who said he had received the letter from Miss Jang in 2005. The police plans to send investigators to Pusan Prison, where Mr. A is currently held.
